Morning Prayer: June 20th

O God, may I be awakened by your majesty in the glow of morning’s light. Bless this time of stillness with the newness of your Spirit.

Each in our own way, we crucify Christ, when we live out of faithlessness instead of faithfulness. When we speak before we listen. When our concern is only for ourselves. When our time is not a gift from you, but rather our preoccupation. We must first seek you and your righteousness, if we will be called children of the holy One. Transforming God, as I begin the day, may I responsibly carry out the privileges and responsibilities that come with being one of your own. In the matchless name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
