Eternal God, I thank you for the divine gift of this new day. As I come into this new day, guard my thoughts and my actions that you may be glorified through me.
I need you, my God; I need you. Every hour I need you. When I would do good, evil is ever present. Therefore, look upon me, God, and have mercy on my soul and forgive me of my sins that I might be a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto you. Never allow me to forget that you alone are the most High God and that your judgment and wrath are all consuming.
I pray today that I might experience a cleansing of my soul. Let my light so shine this day that others might catch a glimpse of your glory in me. In the matchless name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
