Evening Prayer: November 14th


Sovereign God, we come this night with humble and grateful hearts because you have been present with us through this day. In the heartaches and joys, you have walked with us. Now the sun has set and the shadow of darkness has fallen upon us. However, we know that darkness can never dispel the Light who is Christ. Shelter us beneath your wings and if it be thy will, waken us to a new day of mercy and grace. In the blessed name of Jesus. Amen.

Keep your conscience clear, so that, when you are maligned, those who abuse you for your good conduct in Christ may be put to shame. 17 For it is better to suffer for doing good, if suffering should be God’s will, than to suffer for doing evil. 18 For Christ also suffered for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, in order to bring you to God.
