Creator God, in whom we live and move and have our being: Immerse us this day in the splendor of your presence. You are not far from us, O God, and we rest in that knowledge and comfort today.
Come today to all who need you and yearn to experience your renewing touch. We live in a world in which darkness seems to hold sway and in which so many people are void of hope. They need the One True Light that cannot be extinguished. Draw near to the hopeless, the broken and the searching.
Sovereign of heaven and earth, let us stand in awe of your presence as we begin this new day. Take us in our day to those places where we may encounter you and be transformed into your instruments of grace and peace. In your most holy Name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.
